Since leaving Pingtung County on November 27, the torch team has passed through 39 Indigenous areas, reaching the CIP today. The torch was received by Minister Ljaucu Zingrur, who then handed it off to the torch team led by Deputy Director Chiu, Wen-Lung of the Education and Culture Department, along with a blessing for a smooth progression on the rest of the route.
Minister Zingrur mentioned that the torch relay symbolizes not only the approaching competition but is also an important connection that unites Indigenous villages throughout Taiwan and fortifies emotional bonds. The torch team today successfully completed transfers in Datong Township (Yilan), Wulai District (New Taipei), Fuxing District (Taoyuan), and Guanxi Town (Hsinchu).
The representatives who received the Sacred Torch are listed below:
Chen, Cheng-Kung, Secretary of Datong Township
Ljaucu Zingrur, Minister of Council of Indigenous Peoples

The torch team is passing through 55 Indigenous areas nationwide, set to arrive at the main venue, Laiyi Senior High School in Pingtung, on December 10.
