The Sacred Flame Relay is officially launched! On the first day, the relay departs from Pingtung County, running through seven indigenous townships: Wutai Township, Sandimen Township, Majia Township, Taiwu Township, Laiyi Township, Chunri Township, and Shizi Township.
At each stop, the Games’ Sacred Flame team hands over the torch to the representative of the respective township. The torch, passed from hand to hand and carried from tribe to tribe, forges connections between people, culture, and land. The moment the flame was passed, the energy of the site instantly ignited; every exchange was accompanied by cheers, footsteps, and applause.
The representatives from each township who received the Sacred Torch are listed below:

After the handover, the Sacred Flame teams from each township ran into the township offices to complete the tribute ceremony, bringing blessings into the tribes, and allowing the flame’s glow to burn brighter and grow stronger.
