🏹 Traditional Archery 🏹
Traditional archery is a long-standing life skill in indigenous communities across various countries. Whether living in forests, high mountains, coasts, or river valleys, archery is often used in hunting, guarding, and daily training, making it an important ability for ethnic groups to cope with the external environment and maintain their livelihood.
Although the history and geography of indigenous peoples across different regions vary, the focus, judgment, and physical coordination required for archery necessitate similar training methods, thus creating a cross-regional basis for mutual understanding of the skill. Therefore, traditional archery has become one of the competitive events in the World Indigenous Traditional Games that best demonstrates the common experiences of different ethnic groups.
Through these Games, athletes from various countries will compete using their familiar shooting styles and rhythms, allowing the audience to see how archery connects the life experiences of the world’s indigenous peoples.
