🪵 Log Sawing 🪵
For many indigenous peoples, log sawing is not only a practical skill but also a part of the daily wisdom of coexisting with the land. In traditional life, log sawing is an crucial technique for building homes, making traps, and preparing for rituals. The seemingly simple action contains the tacit understanding in cooperation and the rhythm of labor.
In the competition, athletes cooperate through physical strength and rhythmic coordination, with two people working together to complete the sawing. They are sawing not just wood, but the tacit understanding cultivated between the people and nature. The push and pull of the saw blade is the body language passed down by the ancestors to the descendants, and a cultural inheritance built into muscle memory.
